आगरा में पटना से कोटा जा रही ट्रेन में के दो यात्रियों की मौत हो गई। वहीं उल्टी दस्त के कारण 6 लोगों की हालत खराब हो गई।

वाराणसी से मथुरा की यात्रा के दौरान रविवार को कोटा-पटना एक्सप्रेस (13237) में स्वास्थ्य संबंधी जटिलताओं के कारण दो यात्रियों की मौत हो गई और छह अन्य बीमार पड़ गए।
आगरा के रेलवे अधिकारियों को यात्रियों के बिगड़ते स्वास्थ्य के संबंध में एक कॉल मिली। रविवार शाम ट्रेन के आगरा कैंट स्टेशन पहुंचने पर चिकित्सा सहायता प्रदान की गई। ये यात्री गैर वातानुकूलित शयनयान कोच संख्या एस-2 में यात्रा कर रहे थे।

आगरा पीआरओ रेलवे ने कहा, “ट्रेन के आगरा कैंट रेलवे स्टेशन पर पहुंचने पर चिकित्सा टीमों को तुरंत ट्रेन में भेजा गया। जिन यात्रियों को मतली और उल्टी जैसे लक्षण महसूस हो रहे थे, उन्हें तुरंत चिकित्सा के लिए ले जाया गया। लेकिन एक बुजुर्ग महिला की पहले ही मौत हो चुकी थी, जबकि एक पुरुष यात्री की आगरा में इलाज के दौरान जान चली गई।”
श्रीवास्तव ने कहा,“ प्रारंभिक चिकित्सा आकलन से पता चलता है कि मौतों का संभावित कारण निर्जलीकरण या खाद्य विषाक्तता हो सकता है। हालांकि, हम अभी भी एक निश्चित निष्कर्ष पर नहीं पहुँचे हैं।”

श्रीवास्तव ने कहा मृतक यात्रियों की पहचान अभी भी आगरा सरकारी रेलवे पुलिस (जीआरपी) द्वारा निर्धारित की जानी है।”
